PERSONALITY: Karone has a very strong personality. She's willful, she's honest, and she's very determined. When she puts her mind to something, very little can be done to change her mind. She's also very caring and full of regret. The life she led as Astronema caused so much pain - and she has devoted the rest of her life to making up for her crimes and the evil she's committed. Sometimes, she can be a little too hard on herself, but when you've been the Princess of All Evil, it makes it kind of hard not to be. She hopes to prove Kendrix proud and continue the legacy of the Pink Ranger, something she'd never in her wildest dreams believe she'd be doing.
ABILITIES: Current weilder of the Pink Quasar Saber, Karone was picked by Kendrix to continue the legacy when Kendrix sacrificed herself to save the Cassie and Terra Venture. So, she has the ability to morph, and in that form, strength, speed, agility, and access to whatever the morphing grid allows.
HISTORY: Born on the planet KO-35, along with her twin brother, Andros, Karone had dreamed of being a Power Ranger. However, she was kidnapped as a child by an evil bounty hunter, Darkonda while she and Andros were practicing telekinesis. Darkonda took her to be raised by Ecliptor to be evil, and she was named Astronema. Astronema was left in the care of Ecliptor, who became a fatherly figure to her and trained her to be an evil warrior. Soon, the memories of being Karone faded away.
Ecliptor told her the Power Rangers destroyed her parents and her brother, and she used that anger to fuel her to become the woman feared across the galaxy. After years of training and competing against other evil warriors, Astronema was later tutored in the dark arts of magic. She was awarded the Wrath Staff, which she used to manipulate others and battle her opponents. With Dark Specter's help, she gained the space station, the Dark Fortress, and an army of robotic soldiers called Quantrons. As Astronema roamed the universe, conquering and destroying all those who would not serve her or Dark Specter, she would destroy them or turn them into his slaves.
Eventually, as the forces of darkness gathered, Dark Specter put Astronema in charge of ridding them of the Space Ranger. Eventually, Andros discovered Astronema's true identity, and he did everything in his powers to reform her. However, she was captured by Ecliptor and her emotions were removed by cybernetic implants that later controlled her. In the final battle, she battled Andros, hoping to prevent him from taking the captured Zordon. But Andros, deflecting her blast back at her, killed her in order to protect the universe. But that wasn't enough, in order to truly save the galaxy from evil, Andros needed to destroy the containment unit of Zordon.
After doing so, it released a wave of purifying energy that eradicated all evil but left Astronema's body unchanged. Leaning over her, Andros cried, and two tears ran off his nose and landed on her cheek. These removed Astronema's programming, reverting her back to Karone. Restored, she returned to Earth with Andros and the other Rangers.
Karone spent the next year back on KO-35. When she heard about the lost Quasar Saber and Kendrix sacrifice, she knew she had to do something. Something her brother probably would've tried to prevent her from doing it. Still, she donned the Astronema persona on Onyx, where monsters were bidding on the pink quasar saber. Taking the pink quasar saber because news of Astronema's reformation had yet to hit those parts of the universe, and it worked. Until Trakeena sold her out. Still, Karone fought her way out of the tavern in Onyx and found her way back to the Rangers, delivering the saber. However, in a battle with Trakeena, Karone lost the fight and was thrown off a cliff.
But. Kendrix saved her. Or at least, Kendrix's spirit. Kendrix chose Karone to pass the pink galaxy morpher on to. She arrived on Terra Venture after her first battle as the pink ranger and vowed to make Kendrix proud. When she woke up, she was back in Angel Grove. Well. The Megaship, actually.
